Two ways to deal with hot weather for this week’s #TerrierTuesday: hiding in the long grass from Little Joe 🌈, jumping into a raised bed from Little Alfie. Think I know which worked better!
Two Julys (2019 & 2026); two border terriers. One of whom, butter wouldn’t melt. Another *looks* like butter wouldn’t melt. No prizes for working it which is which 😉😀
BOGOF for this week’s #gotcha on #TerrierTuesday. Little Joe 🌈 joined us at nine months & this is him with his brother Zak on his gotcha day. And thanks to Zak we now have Little Alfie, a much more recent gotcha day - four weeks ago, aged 12 weeks.
Weather a fair bit cooler this week, but thought I’d post Little Joe 🌈 & Little Alfie taking advantage of some cooler moments during two very hot days, nine years apart. #TerrierTuesday
… started to emerge leading on eventually to Little Alfie, our Little Furry Apprentice following in his great, great uncle’s paw steps.
… Joe & Zak lived with their breeder until they were 9 months, when LJ came to join us for over 13 years of love & fun. This is the two of them when they met up a year after LJ ‘moved out’, with Zak in the middle of a successful show career after which lots of little Zaks & great little Zaks …
So, three weeks ago things changed here when we were joined by this little bundle of fur & fun, Little Archie. This is Archie on his gotcha day, coping like a star with such a huge change in his life. He’s Little Joe’s 🌈 great, great nephew from LJ’s litter brother Zak … #BTPosse
This week is the Arnside & Silverdale Art Festival & last year Little Joe 🌈 entered (with a little help from his Hoo Mum). So for #TerrierTuesday this week here’s the little man with his masterpiece 🎨🖌️
For this week’s #TerrierTuesday we’ve got Little Joe 🌈 the intrepid hat hunter. The only thing he loved more than pinching a pair of socks was stealing away with one of his Mum’s hats, carrying it round while looking very pleased with himself!

Little Joe’s🌈 #GreatScapes for today’s #TerrierTuesday is when he was recovering from an op in 2022 so I’m his stroller full-time for a while. Didn’t stop him getting out & about including to Grasmere for this shot of him with Loughrigg in the background
The wild flower bed went in in 2022 & ox eye daisies have really come into their own this spring.

Some first class groaking from Little Joe for this week’s #TerrierTuesday. Back a few years to 2021 for a shot from what was one of our favourite places, the tearoom at Old Beetham Post Office, like LJ no longer with us but lovely memories.
Never been to an RHS garden before, so such stunning day to go down to Manchester to RHS Bridgewater.
After running up #ArnsideKnott the pay off for the pain is coming down again. Not for the obvious reason. It’s the view, the one that greets you when you come through the gate that signals you’re coming off the top of the Knott & headed back down 🏃♂️
This week’s #TerrierTuesday entry from Little Joe 🌈 is from this time last year. Every morning as I was getting dressed he would appear in the bedroom, silent & stealthy, & take pairs of socks from the drawers & then trot off looking hugely pleased. Bless him 😮💨
First time visiting Holehird, just outside Windermere. Both beautiful & restful 🙏
We’ve got some really low tides in the #KentEstuary right now, which reminded me of past times as Little Joe 🌈 loved getting out on the sand, so for #TerrierTuesday here’s one of the little man in the Estuary with Arnside in the background.
