This was my grandfather’s favorite view and place to sit in New York. I haven’t been here in maybe 15 plus years. Thinking about him today and all the lives he touched as a doctor and how one can find a touch of peace even in the hardest times. His name was Philip Sechzer. Look him up.

kinda chuckling atm bc I never for a second had a second thought about calling myself “tomboy”. In my mind, it’s a completely female-coded word, & sometimes I wonder how that looks to other people, but I feel like the most affirming thing I ever did in my life was to make that my moniker & brand.

Something I’m chewing on tonight is this Cadillac ad from 1915. I’ve included both the original advert and a formatted version I made for legibility, with text in alt description. I dunno. Yeah, somewhat antiquated language but jfc if I haven’t seen a better indictment of pick-me culture.
