August 6, 1965, Pres. Johnson signed this act into law. I was not yet 2 years old, but close to it. It’s 2026 and here we are with a gutted law, a shell of its former self. The Act seen as the country finally giving full recognition to all of its people has been shredded under this admin. Shame!
