played idols of ash today. very fun little game, it's so simple but so effective that i got stuck in "one more try" loop of trying to complete nightmare mode (no checkpoints). also positively surprised by the narrative, interesting little story for what could easily be a gameplay-only short game

i put flins on the team for local speciality radar once and his mullet looks so stupid from the back while running, it has nothing on gracefulness of ganyu or furina. looks alright from the side, but the back view...

when it goes on deep discount i instantly turn into a rain world salesperson bc it's my favoriter game everrrr, look at how beautiful it is... unique graphics, procedural animation, creature ai, it has so many interesting things even just on a technical level as a video game

last reminder: rain world is 90% off on steam!! if you're not afraid of strange unconventional games this is a perfect pick. you can experience what it feels like to be an animal that's merely part of the ecosystem, one that can survive but not fully comprehend the industrial world it lives in

I love watching slugcat run and fumble thru the terrain, it's so cute. procedural animation does absolute wonders in rain world and i will forever be impressed by it

it gets me how after stumbling a few times while learning the truth saki adjusts pretty quickly to name "hatsune" in ep12, its like the moment she said "its you, hatsune, who loves the stars" a switch flipped. i esp like garden scenes when they sound so carefree and happy, even if for just a moment:

i'm feeling particularly good abt my art this month :) i don't have much of hating-your-art problem, i do like most of it, it's just that i constantly feel the almost overwhelming need to improve and art can be difficult to make

RAIN WORLD IS ULTRA CHEAP ON STEAM SALE!! it's my favorite game ever, the most unique experience where you're fighting for survival in an alien ecosystem in the most animalistic way, in a mysteriously abandoned, beautifully industrial world. please give rain world a try, there's nothing else like it

i just barely defeated the strong af gargoyle btw (edward clutch with that crossbow, i thought i'm abt to lose). i think it was an optional boss after all lol

koudelka deals the final blow and so the game is finished :) this was a very cool experience, my only complaint is that combat could be faster (remove awkward pauses and speed up some animations?) but that's it. the characters were super fun to observe and listen to in every cutscene

extremely funny to be hit with this screen immediately after a heart wrenching cutscene. me, while in tears over koudelka's character and story: yay my explosives!
