Really enjoying "How to Get to Heaven from Belfast." Extremely funny (more landed gags than most comedies) w/ an engaging thriller/crime premise. Many excellent actors & a breezy style. Creator Lisa McGee (Derry Girls) is solid. Also addresses J.D. Vance's record rapid slide from convert to lapsed.

The next generation of mallards is on the way. Mama returned to the roost as I left.

Probably ca. 20 whitish eggs in a slight depression in the grass next to the trunk of a tree. The eggs are sitting on brown vegetative matter. Grass surrounds the nest. Mostly in shadow but dappled by sun coming through branches.

Gurgle, a free word game unaffiliated with any newspaper.

Some real jewels in here. I've never seen an olde timey apple vending machine, e.g. Lots of other odd and striking machines, too.

Introduced to this painting by the Waldy and Bendy podcast: Mary Magdalene by Savoldo (painted c.1535-1540). Just look at the light on that fabric she's draped in.

That sounds fantastic. Cooler sauce is great particularly as my palate has changed this year. I have an overabundance of superhot peppers so my fridge is basically a bio-hazard with sauces, and I've resorted to dehydrating and powdering them. Your post reminded me to harvest again.

Late harvest: A garden basket mostly full of superhot peppers (orange, red, and yellow). Two green bell peppers from my miracle plant (the main stem was bent doubled-over before planting and I secured it straightened figuring it wouldn't work, but it did!). Also some cherry tomatoes (red and black), and an irregular shaped orange tomato.

Since season 5 of Slow Horses has begun, I bring you wisdom and inspiration from Jackson Lamb in episode 1. "Well, I personally don't plan to do much."

Jackson Lamb (played by Gary Oldman) in S05E01 of "Slow Horses," looking shabby and sitting with his legs up at his shabby desk in his shabby office eating something he's holding in a patterned paper napkin. He speaks and the subtitles read "Well, I personally don't plan to do much." I would describe in more detail how he appears but in reality he's mainly just shabby and greasy.

That site isn't responding well, so here's an image. Again, the hands are attached to a quartz mechanism so it functions as a normal clock.

Looks like a common "Will Return" sign in red, white, blue with black number and letters. "Will Return" written at the top with a clockface below. When used by businesses, they set the hands to when they will reopen. However, this functioning clock from Kikkerland by David Dear actually operates, so the "Will Return" time is ever moving forward.

Glad to get 4/5 on this difficult Wikipedia "Which happened First" quiz game. Keeps me away from more pernicious websites.

Categories include Principality of Hungary, Thuringia, Bishop of Chichester, Harvard Yale Regatta, and Niagara Falls. Other more obscure topics were left off this image for some reason.
