A #character in my #fantasy story changed. Now she looks like this (only my rendering isn't as good as I would like it to be). She also just had a pretty weird day and is not happy about it.

So, the #blender #render that taught me about the importance of using grass textures in #environments. Still very happy about my trees, though.

So, the last #caturday #catsonbluesky #artonbluesky. I have started my writing project and I am concentrating on 3D now, so this will be what I am doing. Apart from monthly challenges, I will not do more 2D art. One of those is due tomorrow, though.

So, I got the Environment Artist #blender Course by Grant Abbit (love the way he explains), because it was on sale. It is beginner-friendly, but I am still learning cool new things. Very excitied for this one. First project:

Someone on Deviant Art asked me to do Fanart of James the Cat. Not being British, I never heard of him. Hope I did an adequate job.

@lifux.bsky.social I tried #blender #geometrynodes for the first time in an environment. Building the assets took a few days, I will admit. I am also looking into handpainting backgrounds. If anybody has tipps for that, I would be thrilled (I tired with this one)

I really want to get into texture painting. So this #blender #render of #fantasyarchitecture is me trying to practise that and how to light a scene. There is a bit of volume going on, too. Handpainting textures does take a lot of time, still, but I start to enjoy the results and the process.

Early for #caturday, but here is this weeks #snackcat. Döner for my husband (let's pretend this is before the sauce). I went to the doctors today and it was a bit of a disappointment, again. Crash will come (the later it comes, the worse it gets).

I am trying to get a nice look on #blender with #cycles. I tried shader to RGB and Eevee is so nice and fast, but I do like they lights in cycles a lot better. For how: handpainted textures and simple shaders (diffuse and transparent) mixed with toon (often by layer weigth input node).

Another #caturday #snackcat. This cake is no lie (but I was surprised to find out the black forrest gateau (my favorite, so goooood- but with Kirsch, so not for kids) is the cake the meme (that I didn't know about before reading what the English wiki had to say about the cake) is based on.

#Blender I started with blender when cycles was still rather new (around 2.8 or something) and I dabbled, I tried to learn. I wanted to study. But the pandemic hit and I got ME. Now I am clawing myself back. Happy with some of the plants, not the tree... I guess I have to get into geo nodes. help?
