I like music
#NowPlaying High Tide by High Tide. This CD also contains the best tracks off Sea Shanties, which I think was the only way you could get 'Death Warmed Up' at the time.
Another French album I could do with replacing on CD is Le bal du rat mort, by Komintern. From the early 70s, it's apparently quite political. It's also entirely instrumental, frivolous psych / jazzy / rock.
#NowPlaying Adonia by Ose. Obscure late '70s French synth rock outfit led by Hervé Picart and featuring Richard Pinhas.
This is the one I've used to test hi-fi out for absolutely ages. I know it inside out and it covers all the frequencies!
The latest King Crimson release has arrived from @burningshed.com I love this band, they're the bestest!
#NowPlaying A Picture Of Nectar by Phish. I know very little about them, but I know they're very popular and I like this, there's all sorts going on here.
#NowPlaying Doolittle by Pixies. Thirty-seven years ago, I saw them touring this at Leeds Poly, supported by The Wolfgang Press. That was a right good do.
#NowPlaying Dream States by Audio Obscura. Very satisfying and the opening track has some top Faust distortion. Hints of Biosphere.
NEW BUTTHOLE SURFERS ALERT!!! After The Astronaut was meant to be released in 1999, but they fell out with their label... Well now it's appeared #NowPlaying
It's always good to hear some new Altres. #NowPlaying Citadel of the Insane. Quality synth music.
It's hot enough to warm an egg, which forces me politely to give this a listen.
It's hot enough for Eloy Live. This is a good one, drawing heavily from Ocean among others.
It's Badger Saturday, thanks to @closetotheedge.bsky.social who I think initially influenced me on the Twit with this one, a few years ago.
#NowPlaying 37 by King Never. A real delight to discover this one again.
#NowPlaying When It Comes by Dana Gavanski. Dana does a nice version of 'I Talk To The Wind' - but it's not on this...
Weekend starts here! And what better way is there to greet it than with some Laibach? From 34 years ago, here's Kapital.
Yes, my train back south from Inverness was cancelled due to Storm Ciara. Here's a pic I took passing Aviemore on the A9 earlier that journey
#NowPlaying Steve Hillage - Düsseldorf 28.3.79 A good selection of tracks on this 2CD
Have you heard the live version that Jazz In Britain released? It's well good.
#NowPlaying The Downward Spiral by Nine Inch Nails. I'm sure this is the first time I've popped this on since the 1990s. So far, so good...
