When I was a city dweller I thought midsummer was the best time of year, and while these sticky strips do a pretty good job, the deerfly have taken some of the shine off of July for me. Personal best/worst on a 40 minute walk: 17.

Mrs BB has been sitting on a clutch for a few nights now, and spends the days in and out of the box sustaining everyone. Mr BB has not been seen in days, which is unusual for him, but the web says males can disappear during incubation. Still, seems like a dick move. #birds
