The Link is to a study of COVID vaccines, but one of the key points is that those who were vaccinated were much less likely to die than those who weren't (79% lower risk.), but even eliminating COVID deaths they were less likely to die. 🤷 Get vaccinated people! 🤷

One of the significant protest performances throughout South Africa's Apartheid was the show of Pieter-Dirk Uys as Evita Bezuidenhout - using drag & satire to avoid censorship.

Evita Bezuidenhout is a fictitious Afrikaner character created by Pieter-Dirk Uys in the 1980s, using satire to overcome apartheid censorship and criticise the state. The character was imagined as the wife of an apartheid cabinet minister, she became the South African ambassador in the fictitious black homeland republic of Bapetikosweti. She interviewed Nelson Mandela on national television in 1994, addressed parliament in 1999 and is now a member of the ruling ANC. She has her own political party, Evita’s People’s Party, which focuses on voter education. Pieter-Dirk Uys regards her as his premier clown in the struggle against fear, racism and political correctness and says: ‘Just because she doesn’t exist doesn’t mean she’s not real’

Article 8 is a qualified right which can be limited on certain public interest grounds. The government proposes to legislate to narrow its scope in three ways:

To strengthen the public interest test which decision makers and courts must apply in determining whether removal would breach Article 8.
To set out a narrower definition of who counts as a family member for the purposes of Article 8, to include “normally” only “immediate family members”.

I have said before, that the likely unintended consequences of the Supreme Court ruling is the end of "Single Sex Spaces" (At least as far as toilets & changing rooms are concerned). Probably not the outcome the TERFs were angling for. 🤷

Note that the first 2 lines of the apology from the store are in quotes, the 3rd line is a third person, not quoted - possible either fabricated or misquoted to conceal the true framing.

M&S Apology:
