Rach. She/her. Doing right by nature. Probably can't hear you, usually muddy. Equine rescue & rehab, photography, cats, mental illness, lifting heavy things. Queer, AuDHD, Cumbrian // Chaotic, passionate, opinionated.
And our little TV debut with thanks to JB filming it while we were stood up on Steel Brow.
Stage One of the Tour Of Britain in Cockermouth. My first time trying to photograph a bike race. (While trying to explain what's happening to my niece and nephew, AND holding my "Garn Lasses" sign) Lots more pics to come... @tourofbritain.bsky.social @nedboulting.bsky.social @britishcycling.org.uk
Peony season 🤝 Pentax lens Thank you so much @soapywittank.bsky.social 💜
It's an absolute treat to have Mr GSW visiting the suet feeders these past few days. This was taken through a crack in the bathroom window less than an hour ago... turns out I can process photos quickly sometimes 🙃
This is 40 ✨️✨️✨️ drinking decaff, having inhaled a vegan mango cream bun 👌
I finally got round to applying for the #TeamWilder Wildlife Gardening award again. Only taken me three years since the last time 🫠 @the-wildlifetrusts.bsky.social
I did a run yesterday! In shorts! And I wasn't cold... which is concerning from a climate change perspective 🫠 Very much enjoying how strong I look in this picture though.
Celebrating it being warm enough to not need two blankets and a hot water bottle while sat on the sofa. (And celebrating having enough of my 3hr screen-time left to scroll social media at 11pm 🥹)
Anyone remember sunshine? No, me neither. This grey cloud and rain is making me want to d!e.
Salem; declared medically handsome by the vet at his checkup the other week.
I can't get warm today, so the ancient Pingu hot water bottle (circa mid-90s - definitely got it while still in primary school) has been deployed. Noot noot.
The sense of pride I feel in actually doing my 10min home workout on the day I planned to is unrivalled.
Theo is here to tell you that I have seven (7!) photos included in the Hope Pastures 2026 calendar 💜 All money goes directly to the care & rehab of the horses & donkeys. Available here: www.hopepastures.org/product/2026... #Leeds #Charity #AnimalRescue
Here heron here. (I will forever use this as a caption for heron pictures because withnail is ingrained in my brain).
Still thinking about how this was included in the Leeds Music display at the museum, but key actual Leeds bands were not?! (For context I love Five very much, but this really bears no relevance to the music scene here)
Day 30 of #30DaysWild: There's no such thing as a seagull. I cannot let it lie. I know I'm pedantic, but I will die on this hill. This is a Black-Headed Gull. #TeamWilder @the-wildlifetrusts.bsky.social
Day 29 of #30DaysWild: This Willow is one of my favourite trees of all time, especially when it catches the morning sunshine ✨ #TeamWilder @the-wildlifetrusts.bsky.social
Day 28 of #30DaysWild: A Speckled Wood butterfly basking in early morning light along the canal. #TeamWilder @the-wildlifetrusts.bsky.social
Day 27 of #30DaysWild: Beautiful to see so much Tufted Vetch alive with insects in nearby scrubland. #TeamWilder @the-wildlifetrusts.bsky.social
Day 26 of #30DaysWild: ✨emerging✨ I spotted this very new ladybird on the shady side of an old bridge. #TeamWilder @the-wildlifetrusts.bsky.social
Day 25 of #30DaysWild: I'm still thinking about all the Large Skippers I saw at the weekend. I really love these fancy, fluffy butterflies. #TeamWilder @the-wildlifetrusts.bsky.social
Day 24 of #30DaysWild: Second brood in the spotlight; I met (and fed) these little mallard ducklings whilst out on another canal run. #TeamWilder @the-wildlifetrusts.bsky.social
Day 23 of #30DaysWild: Sunlight through trees is one of the most beautiful things ✨ I walk through this small wooded area most days - it's by a busy main road but that doesn't stop the wildlife who call it home. #TeamWilder @the-wildlifetrusts.bsky.social
