George Carlin was a talented and often funny and insightful guy. But I am... SO tired of people treating him like he was the Great Sage of our time.
Watched "The Grapes of Wrath" last night after recently reading the book. It's obviously well-crafted in many ways, but so much of the depth of the story is in Steinbeck's prose, especially the long interludes.

Goddam, "The Bear". I came late to it but I'm so glad I did. This is the rare show about people giving each other mutual respect and making each other better and every episode moves me profoundly.
My partner started watching "The Bear" and I sorta half-watched from other rooms and got pulled in and now my partner and I are watching "The Bear", I guess.
