OMG… Guilin is so beautiful. Was here 25 years ago back when the air was smoggy. The air quality here has improved significantly.
Suck it up, buckos. No one is “happy” paying taxes but we all do it and we all enjoy the broader benefits they provide. The galling part of this that paying this will have zero effect on any of these people’s lives.

I was just learning about the German healthcare system earlier today. It’s a multi-payer universal healthcare system, which seems interesting to me. Ultimately, whatever the structure, it’s the *universal* element that people most care about. Currently the US is the only developed nation w/o it.
My assumption is the current admin will not be a model for the future and RFK Jr types will be nixed by the Senate. The fact remains, most first world nations manage to provide socialized healthcare at a fraction of the cost of the US.
That interesting life moment when you find books under the bed while cleaning out your son’s bedroom… and it’s not what you expected.
