Perpetual innovator. Used to be in HE, now in R&D - skepticism does not imply pessimism - all views my own and not my employer 🏴 << this flag means tolerance and acceptance of others, nothing else.
If you asked me who is my favourite physical installation artist, it would be Yayoi Kusama any day of the week. I’ve experienced a number of her pieces in London, Singapore and Copenhagen. And every single one left me with a huge beaming smile on my face. Another huge cultural loss this week.
As much of a cheerleader I am/was of Scotrail, this post from them is at best gaslighting, at worst fundamentally dishonest.
I can't say I've heard too much of BTS's music, of which I am sure it is great. But, their greatest contribution to society has to be this collaboration with Oreo, because GODDAMN these are amazing. Probably the best biscuit I've eaten.
Yet more to add to the pile of “but they invented live broadcasting?!” But genuinely, I think David Hockney would have found this hilarious.
@melissartodd.bsky.social the fringe guide it out today! Thought you’d enjoy seeing this :)
RIP Anthony Head. Genuinely gutting this one, I actually went 'WHAT THE FK' when I saw the news.
it’s William Roy’s 300th birthday today. Without him, we’d probably have no smartphone maps.
I read this in Stephen Toast’s voice. (She’s a tough cookie in the voice over world. Not one to be messed with. Snubbed Bloody Ray Purchase, to the whole industry’s deliiiiiight)
If you want to really alienate yourself from your colleagues or loved ones, boy do I have the instant noodles for you. These come with sliced dried garlic cloves, garlic powder and garlic oil. A triple threat of garlic. Absolutely delicious however.
Can we take a moment to acknowledge the incredible pun game of the Glasgow Stamp Shop?
Every day I feel we slide further and further into Idiocracy. "TUMMY SAYS UH-OH". All I can do is read it in Charlie Brooker's sarcasm voice.
Why must we continue to accept the dumbing down of society? Slow (fast?) crawl to Idiocracy.
In my regular series of “if only people could see the invisible stuff” - a single occupancy hotel room with the AC ‘ventilation’, on. No wonder I have a headache!
It is entirely on theme for this government that the new livery for Great British Railways was just a Hornby model placed in the middle of London Bridge station. No fanfare, no real train. A Hornby model. Also the new livery looks abysmal - if I were Lumo I would be livid. It’s not even Mallard blue
“It looks like you’re misusing a spreadsheet. Do you want hindering with that?” I call it Excellie.
Rage bait posts on Quality Street can get in the bin. 1.9kg tin in Denmark, £47(!) roughly about the cost that the £9.49 1981 2.5kg tin would cost you in the UK now, with inflation.
This is the most confusing photo I’ve ever taken. I’m not sure they are suitable gardening shoes, Monty.
Today I went to Carlisle for the first time. The Tulle museum was great, sad I couldn’t get a quiet pint anywhere after though. Saturday night there starts *early*. Pictured: Carlisle Cathedral.
