Amazon is forcing all uses into class-action waivers and mandatory arbitration. Amazon, the shitty company that they are, offer no opt-out. Very shady and shitty stuff. One has to wonder if they saw a lot of AI related lawsuits inbound.

How on earth could you justify to yourselves to turn on AI training on your customers data (anonymized, as is well known, is absolutely not protective), and to make it opt out only!? Effectively you’ve just changed the rules on all your customers, stolen our data, and now we can only opt out of having our future data safe from your insanity.

People pay to use your service, not have their data fed into a model to make your investors and board happy you can fit AI into more of your quarterly board deck slides.

I find it hard to fit into words just how big of a loss of trust this is that you would disregard and disrespect your customers to this level while deluding yourselves so completely.
