And it may seem harsh, but I think a good number of these animals in "rescue" should be euthanized. It's not fair to them, but it wasn't fair for them to be forced into an alien environment either. Sometimes the kindest thing that can be done for a suffering creature is a quick, humane death.
Dude some of the people in this article are so annoying, especially to the guy who's like "this is terrible for rescues!" Like if you're complaining about providing the bare minimum in proper care for a literal wild animal then you can go fuck yourself with your "but we're a rescue!" mentality.
My husky mix Rex looks spindly but he’s full of rocks or something because he weighs 66lbs. (I do wish I could provide the four legged Bler a safe landing spot but my female dog would bully her 😭)
