And while we're at it, let's take a look at the CEO to worker pay ratio. CEO pay was about 20 times of that of the average worker in the 1950s. By 2023, the CEO pay ratio was TWO HUNDRED AND NINETY TIMES that of the typical worker.

This chart lists the CEO pay ratio to typical worker for the following years. In the 1950s, the CEO pay ration was 20 times that of the typical worker, in 1980 it was 42 times, in 2000 it was 120 times, and in 2023 it was 290 times (!).

I think the multiverse thing just shifted, so Mamdani and Trump are in a bromance, Marjorie Taylor Greene is resigning Congress, and Elon Musk's friend just took a major dump on him on Facebook. Even as I write this, I feel like Doc Brown might be showing up to take us back to our old timeline.
