My friend is having a hysterectomy soon and having a party in two weeks to celebrate and I have been working on this Masterpiece for them. I'm thinking of getting cotton balls or something to hide in the flaps to be fibroids that can be pulled out and thrown at people.

I skinned another layer on the palm tree (to remove a visible spider nest) and found a small beetle and some aphids. If you find interesting plants or insects around your home don't forget to use the seek act to identify them!

I skinned a palm tree today! I'm gonna put a beach around the tree and wanted a clear space. It was just as tedious as the tutorials said it would be and I probably should have done it this morning when it was cooler or before the turf was installed, but it's done now!
Did not get a picture or video of the repelling but here is the finished tree and all the palms the cut off. Let's hope this trim lasts us a while
Second skin is off. Still a lot of dead skin that needs to work its way off and I'm not taking any ruler pictures till it's fully healed. But I am very pleased
It's weird that I never truly understood the power of accessories until I was much older but at least I got there My tattoo is also an accessory 😅
Test fitting on DD's Wind and Waves costume for WonderCon con next week. She asked if there was a costume contest and I would consider it for her as an experience but you have to be at least 12. Plus it's basically a closet costume but she is very cute!

So to give myself something happy to do to keep my spirits up I'm making my daughter a Pokemon Waves trainer costume for WonderCon. It's mostly bought items pieced together and modified but I'm making a prop! I've never really made a proper cosplay prop on my own and I'm really proud of my progress!
It's really funny going through and seeing which athletes understand the assignment and which ones just repeat their name over. Also, the code switching some of the athletes do is amazing! I love how Oliver Bjorkstrand says his name in his mother tongue and then the Americanized version!

Mine even looks similar which really does leave me to believe It may be from the same type of thing, and I had this on Sunday so it can take a while to show up and it can last for a bit. So possibly he's getting regular infusions, which doesn't necessarily mean he's going to fall over soon.
My camera points towards my door, I don't need to see who is walking by. My side camera is set to block all footage from my neighbors yard. This is for my security and peace of mind not to spy on my neighbors!
So this is an issue we deal with for SDCC. People want to cover the ad on the badge but putting a sticker on it invalidates your badge. So we came up with the badge insert. It's a non permanent cover that you can remove if security gives you shit and then put it back over the ad.
Can you believe I've been crocheting for a few years and I've never made a granny square until now? My kids got me one of those skeins where the color change is built in to make perfect squares and it doesn't look terrible! May try to make a sweater as I don't need a blanket
My music listen list. Mostly stuff on drives by myself to sing and enjoy. Love how my top artists didn't sing my top songs. Also weird because I love Never Going Home but it's so linked to my hockey fandom and I'm so depressed about my hockey fandom right now it's weird
Also note we are not frying the turkey this year since my sister forgot her fryer, so my mom is spatchcocking and roasting. We set the temp and will let the thermometer tell us when it's done this year
Today I went to Yonder Coffee in Northridge! I got yummy baked goods and tea for under $10! And there was a lovely area to sit and do work which my local Starbucks no longer has.
