A fun little #StarTrek project I’ve been working on. I have acquired a ceiling light from Nahla Ake’s quarters from #StarfleetAcademy. The original LEDs were toast, so I replaced them with WS2805 LEDs. Love having a cool little Star Trek mood lamp on my desk, straight from the USS Athena herself!

Did y’all know that Taylor Sheridan was in #StarTrekEnterprise? Because I just learned today during my rewatch. Yes, the same Taylor Sheridan that made #Yellowstone! Featured here as a minor character named “Jareb” in season 3 episode 12 “Chosen Realm”.

As a chemistry teacher, I always wished that #StarTrek would show more chemistry/lab-related things. #StarfleetAcademy achieved that and I was thrilled. I am very lucky to have great friends in this community and as a result, have been able to add lab glassware from the #StarfleetAcademy production.

I observed one of my teachers today and he always has some sort of meme or pun on the board. Today’s meme, by complete random chance, is Trip Tucker! 😂 He’s not a #StarTrekEnterprise fan and had no idea who the guy was, but I nearly screamed when I walked into the room and saw Trip greeting me

Glad to see Dreadnought bump up a bit too. I’m really high on that one. B’Elanna is great there. Our top 5 are the same but I have Dreadnought where Projections is. I was really vibing with the Kazon/Seska/Maquis stuff last rewatch too so I have Investigations pretty high.

I finished my #StarTrekVoyager rewatch this morning. It feels bittersweet as it’s been a good comfort zone through a lot of life changes. I’m a bit embarrassed to say the rewatch started on October 3rd, 2022, which was 1062 days ago (a pace of one episode every six days). Definitely a slow burn.

“A Space Adventure Hour” is an immediate all-timer. It’s an incredible self-reverential love letter to #StarTrek that balances humor and stakes, provides great development for La’an and Scotty, and reconciles a small little canon question in a satisfying way. A perfect episode of #StrangeNewWorlds.

I finally finished my #StarTrekVoyager season 6 rewatch. Some reflections: 1. Fury and Unimatrix Zero are much better than they are given credit for. 2. There are a lot of ups and downs in the back half of the season, but it is more consistent than I thought.

Wow! #StarTrek #StrangeNewWorlds “Toward the Night” by James Swallow is one of my new favorite Trek books since the Kurtzman era shows started having tie-ins. It’s on the same level as Rogue Elements, Second Self, Dead Endless, and The Way to the Stars (all of which I found to be phenomenal).
