How about a 6-color one? This came in a welcome bag at a small conference about a year ago. I was *way* more excited about it than I should have been.
Here’s what I did on my first day of retirement. I’d always said I wanted to, and my husband provided the clock and mallet. It was as satisfying as I’d dreamed it would be. 🤩
Our Starlight crossed the 🌈 bridge today. Thank you for sharing 13 of your 19 years with us. We will miss you and your beautiful red paw. Good night sweet girl.
Found this little guy online - 12-sided die with dinner options on each side. When our imaginations fail completely, we roll the die. Stupid, but effective.
You mean these? Yeah, the drive is around here somewhere, too. Yes, I’m an old fart with minor hoarding issues, why do you ask?
the registration requires a credit card number. The page says it’s to “verify.” But read the “Additional Offer Details” on the far right. You’re getting a free 5-day trial period. After that, they’ll charge $1.99 per day for 5 days and then $39.99 per month until you cancel! #Quiltsky
Still haven’t ironed the fabric for my quilt, but I did finish a cross stitch piece. I’m running out of excuses… #Quiltsky
So, I’m not sure if this is proof of persistence or a cry for help, but either way… 3000 days!
Calliope was a feral kitten who claimed me about two weeks before Halloween. She was solid black except for one white spot on one forearm - her wristwatch. She made it to 18. RIP, Calliope. We miss you.
Went to Balticon yesterday. David Gerrold signed a tribble for us! Really nice guy who took the time to chat with us a bit. Nerdgasm!
The church has a small statue of an angel guarding two children reading. Isn’t that a lovely sentiment? We honeymooned in Iceland and did the Ring Road for our 20th anniversary. Great country to visit. Can’t recommend it highly enough.
It was so exciting to have these way back when I was just a budding baby nerd.
Made what is probably my last trip to Joann’s today. Fabric is pretty picked over but there’s still a lot there. Weird part was they’re still advertising for employees. This sign was up in several places in the store: #quiltsky
Laughing Space - Asimov and Jeppson, 1982. Sci-if humor and cartoons by multiple authors. Still one of my favorite collections.
This is Dione making sure the fabric is straight, and Callisto checking out the thread. They’re paws-on supervisors.
Two episodes of ST:TNG and now a rerun of My 600 Pound Life while cross stitching a Christmas piece.
