A few drawings I made during recent travels - I’ve been experimenting with ink I’ve been all over the place for the past year so I haven’t been sharing much art, trying to get back into the habit.

Heading home From #Eurofurence had an awesome time hanging out with friends, seeing the amazing art and sharing the work on the opening with everyone!

On my way home from #eurofurence. It was my first ever con and I hand soooo much fun. I got to join @crittercrewanim.bsky.social earlier this year and help out with the opening animation, so it was extra special so finally meet our lovely Greeny in person.

5/6 And Finally 2022; This one has a very different vibe since it’s the only one without eye contact. I wanted to change things up in part because I felt like my style and skill level hadn’t changed that much since 2020.
4/6 2020 is a fan favorite, it was easily my best painting at the time and it holds up great. The bow is probably a bit off but bows and bow poses are hard and he’s the only character i "regularly" draw with one
3/6 This is the one from 2018; I was still fairly new to a more painterly style so it was a challenge. This is the most straight up aggressive version out of all of them, with him pointing his bow at the viewer.
2/6 Fun fact about Silver: Like several of my Characters he started out as a sonic character. I never actually played the Sonic games, I just thought the characters looked cool and made up stories about them.
1/6 Art: So I have a couple of characters I revisit on occasion, you’ve seen a few already but here’s another; Silver - I’ve redrawn him every 2 years since 2016
It took me ages to get the crystal shader looking good, and then like 12 hours to render the turntable.
6/6 And finally My favorite piece of pearl art: this Bust sculpt i made of him I really want to make a full model of him at some point. For this one I used both Zbrush and Blender.
5/6 This is a quick drawing I did to try out using the polygonal lasso tool while painting. I really like how it worked for the crystals but tbh i still rarely use it.
4/6 The next time I drew him was during smaugust 2020. its a redraw of the first one. The crystals around him are the same materials as the ones growing on him, because he spends so much time in and around these mineral-rich springs that the minerals in the environment start growing on him too.
3/6 .... this 3d model I made of him: One of my earliest 3d models made entirely in Blender. Fun fact about Pearl; He’s named that because jeweled dragons hatch without their crystals, they grow over time and are based on the minerals in their environment. So Pearl was Pearl colored as a baby.

1/6 I totally didn’t completely forget about posting my art backlog - Anyway, here’s Pearl. He is a very sparkly boy. This is the first ever drawing i made of him back in early 2019, back then he was just a prototype for his species, the jeweled dragon, he didn’t have a name yet.
Last but not least, purple!!! This one was hard, there aren’t really any purple landscapes. I ended up going with a Lüneburg Heath inspired design, with loads of heather.
Number 5 is yellow. I also really like this one, and also it’s literally just a warthog. 6/7
The fourth is unfortunately my least favorite, I struggled to come up with a red landscape outside of badlands and desserts which were already taken at this point. So instead I went with lava 5/7
Third and Probably my favorite is the Blue dragon, he’s so smug, big ol boyo 4/7
The green jungle one was the first one i did, at the time it was just a one off painting, but I liked how monochromatic it turned out so I decided to make more. 2/7
