Last week, we had a very nice after-work gathering at a beach bar close to the university 😎 Wishing all of you a lovely summer! 🌞 #AcademicSky #SunnyBochum
Last week, several members of our group also presented at the #SPSP meeting in Cambridge. @acfischer.bsky.social spoke about endometriosis and standards, Sergei Shevchenko about biological experiments and Jan Baedke about virtual herbaria. Thanks to all participants for great discussions!🥰 #PhilSci
As the last member of our group, @yavannakemi.bsky.social gave a talk on Agnes Arber at the HSS/ESHS meeting yesterday in a great session about unorthodox women in modern biological research. #HistSci #HPBio
Day three of the HSS/ESHS meeting included the presentation of @petinozappala.bsky.social on C.H. Waddington and Ivan Schmalhausen and their ideas on canalization, genetic assimilation and evolution. The talk was part of a great session on evolutions in heredity. #HistSci #HPBio #PhilSci
1st day of the HSS/ESHS meeting in Edinburgh is underway! Two members of our group presented today: Jan Baedke about virtual herbaria, local plant collectors and epistemic injustice and Sergei Shevchenko about Soviet biology in the grip of planned economy. Looking forward to the next days!🤩 #HistSci
New paper out by our former visiting fellow Alberto Monterde Fuertes! It examines the methodological decisions structuring inquiry in engaged philosophy of science. Check it out here: www.cambridge.org/core/journal... #PhilSci
