Our parents celebrated their 73rd wedding anniversary at the weekend, and still make each other chuckle. Here Dad was putting Mum’s ring back on—it was resized because of arthritis in her knuckle—and asking if she’d still have him. They’re 98 and 94.

Made a new sign for our weekly #protest in Newark DE tonight. We’ve been here every Friday since DJT took office. Tonight the temp dropped a degree to 100°F, “feels like” 112°F according to the weather app (that’s 38°C, “feels like” 44°C). Came home and had a cold shower. #remove #highcrimesgrifter

We started a weekly rush hour protest in our town and have kept it going for 17 months so far, through ice, rain, & summer heat. We get a few hecklers, but those are—by far—outweighed by appreciation, and we’ve been thanked on social media by people from all over the U.S. We’re all in this together.
The best part of a project, when you still believe the pictures will be helpful and all the relevant holes have actually been cut out.
Last night’s rush hour protest, Main St Newark DE. Much appreciation from cars & passersby. Also had a hug & a handshake from a couple of sports guys who appreciated my “Black Voters Matter Too!” sign. Fell flat over a lumpy sidewalk on the way home but landed mostly on my sign, which saved my face.

Magical hike of Bryan’s Field trail at White Clay Creek DE, flower meadows, ponds & woods. Saw bluebirds, swallows, mockingbirds, a pileated woodpecker & a scarlet tanager! Heard redbellied woodpeckers, redwinged blackbirds, wrens, vireos, cardinals & lots of other beauties.
Tonight’s Main St Newark DE rush hour protest. We’ve been there every Friday night for 15 months, since the inauguration. My new (10 min to do it) sign is from my heart, and starts “AAARGH”. The vast majority of drivers passing cheered us on. #protest
