Worked on my car a bit today. Most of the time was me looking up things like if these bolts are one time use and tools that I'll need. At least I got the timing chain swapped finally. The rubber tensioner had a 2002 mold marker on it and the car is at 162K miles. I hear you swap it all at about 100K

Old timing chain and sprockets in my hand on the left and new chain and sprockets on the engine on the right. I had a bit of motor oil on my camera lens.

A groove was carved out of the timing chain tensioner from wear.

Leana Carversdaughter, my Lizardfolk, TTRPG character that I've been playing on and off since August of 2023.

Visual Description: She has green skin and scales with light blond hair. She's wearing greyish-purple pants and shirt under a poncho, skirt, and wrist bracers made of dyed leather and yellow fur. She sits on top of a block wall holding her trident, staring into the distance. There is an Aurora Borealis lighting her and the night sky in the background over the mountains.

What All That Means: Leana was the chosen champion representing the Lizardfolk district of Pentrtopolis, a city made up of five once warring races (the Lizardfolk district is one of the few add-on districts that were made after the original creation of the city. I thought that was silly, but I didn't make the setting and just rolled with it).
Leana and the other knuckleheaded champions were tasked with heading deep into the northen mountains to investigate the aroura that had appeared the same time as a great famine and increasing witch and demonic presences throughout the land.
Leana's skills and certainty are being shaken as she heads into the cold unknown to face ever stronger foes and demons that have haunted her past, in a quest not only to save her city, but perhaps all life.

The usual D&D stuff. I could go on, but you get the idea.
She is my Scrimblo Bimblo that I get to pour some of my feelings and fears into the voice acting and actions of, and I deeply love this artwork and how it kinda holds everything. It's also just fucking rad, man.

If you read all this than thank you for listening to me ramble. It's funny how hard it can be to talk about things I love.

I realize I can't share a lot of the photos I've taken with the camera cause I don't want everyone to know where I live, but here's a few (some with a little zoom / cropping).

A test to get the camera to have the whole frame in focus and not just some of my dollies. Took a minute, but I learned some stuff.

I fucking love clouds. Kinda learned a bit about the auto ISO and some of the lighting settings of the camera.

A robin in a tree that was at a parking lot. Max zoom on a 200mm lens and some digital zoom on pc.

With the news of last repost, I don't think I mention it on here but after I beat Dead Rising 1 for the first time a few weeks ago, I picked up a Nikon D300 because of it! It's old but still a few models newer than Frank's D100, and it's my first real high tech camera!

Wish I was better at typing and not always a bit of a downer, but I guess that's just something that makes me me. Anyway, It's been awhile since I've showed my dollies. I got a few more, moved some around, and gave one away to a friend, so here's how my shelf is looking like these days.

My shelf of figures, statues, autographed band pictures, and actual dolls. I call them my dollies because I think it's funny.
Also, I had messed up the white balance when taking the photo to make it look more warm and less... "doll". Eh? Eh? ...I'm hilarious.

I know you might not want to hear this, but a few months back, I was in a rough spot because of everything happening, too. A friend really helped me out by telling me this Reach out to friends, vent to get it off your shoulders a little, and don't lose hope, Suki.

I get that. Just understand that's the sort of thing you can't talk to people about, that can get you in real trouble and I don't want that for you. I do genuinely understand the feeling, I'm sorry the world is this way. Just take care of you. Take care of your loved ones. If we all do that, things will be okay. Darkness can't bear the light, we have to collectively be the light.

It's a little embarrassing to share, but I want to. I might be really in it now. For right now, I feel way better if it's only a little on where the edges of the nail meet skin, but I am slowly getting comfortable with having it on me in public.

All the finger nail paint I've gotten over the past month or so.

I've never been a jewelry person, but I took the time to make a silly little thing. It works on a few different levels since it's a *pan* head machine screw and because I feel like I'm missing a few screws... I'm hilarious.

A size 8 by 1.25 inch stainless steel pan head machine screw drilled into a small U shape piece of stainless sheet metal hung on a chain necklace around my goofy neck.

I had to see what it would look like to get a Helldivers clip under the 10MB file size for free Discord users again. 144 percent speed at 1mil bitrate and topping out at 9.87Mb, baby. Hopefully Bluesky doesn't compress it even more.

The car is having a rough time, especially when the engine isn't hot. Had oil leaking onto and down the sparkplugs for awhile, but I fixed the gaskets last week, and now I'm dealing with the residuals. I'm thinking it's that the oil gummed up the injection plungers so they stick closed.

We were having some down time while the DM built equipment and I had to mention it. I did show them the Gundamn video and how I felt about it last week. Also, sorry for some of the coughing, I haven't been breathing in the best air recently so my throat isn't 100%.
