For my birthday today, my stepdad did the kindest thing, and made a donation to the Homeless World Cup because he knows how much I love Michael 🥹😭🎉🥳

Had a brilliant time at @londonkidslitfest on Sunday, with CBeebies' @evie.pickerill, author @jess.k.webb, and of course Michael Sheen @mablilyradad ...
...drawing the worst SPARK THE DRAGON of my life in front of a cheerful and forgiving 350-strong crowd. If you have a scroll you'll see Michael's Spark was pretty good - I think he's got plans for that drawing - he signed it and spirited it away. He also cheekily asked whose was better, his or Jess's. Well, come on, I think he gets told often enough how brilliant he is, so I said Jess's! (Sorry Jess and Michael, it wasn't true - you'll both forgive me, I know
Everybody was lovely, from the event's organisers and helpers, to the brilliant Puffin team, and amazing Evie, Michael and Jess; and most of all of course, the children and their adults who came to see us. I loved so much how everyone at the festival had such appreciation - and even passion - for all things BOOKish.
Just brilliant.
And final word... the London Children's Literature Festival is a not-for-profit event organised entirely by volunteers, and the funds raised are used to provide a free schools programme of author/illustrator events. More brilliant.
