I’m happy to reveal that I’ll be handling the print covers for “D-Genesis” (LN) and “Haibara's Teenage New Game+” (LN) both of which have just been announced for print by J-Novel! Very excited that I get the chance to work on both these titles!

Took a quick glance thru my jp copy of Colori Colore Creare vol 2 and it looks just as cute as vol 1 🥹 I’m so excited to work on it!

I also did the cover design/layout for Old Country Bumpkin vol. 10 (LN)! This volume was interesting to work on as the art is set up kind of different from the previous volumes. I’m curious if vol 11’s art will follow this format or the previous one #design #graphicdesign #lightnovel #jnovel

This book was also my first attempt at doing all hand-drawn sfx. (I really wanted to replicate the hand-drawn look from the original book.) Thankfully for me this series doesn’t have super crazy sfx. 😅 So here’s a little collage of most of the sfx

One of the pages I’m most proud of is, funnily enough, the table of contents. It has to have the most complex ToC I’ve ever seen. Each chapter title has a different style font. Some text was already in English, which I was able to keep as is, but the rest required me to hunt for fonts lol

Record Journey Vol. 1 releases today! This is one of the titles I’ve been most excited about. I’ve been interested in this series long before it even got licensed and as soon as I saw Titan announce it, I begged my editor to let me work on it haha 😆 I hope everyone enjoys it! #manga #lettering

I’m lettering Colori Colore Creare vol 1 for Titan Manga and this little girl is adorable 🥹 Outside of the 580+ sfx and 190+ asides, I’m really enjoying working on this volume 😂

My current collection of manga design related books~ As someone who wants to work on manga covers/logos for english publishers, I find these books to be very interesting. Admittedly I can’t read Japanese so I do have to rely on translator apps but I feel like I can still learn a lot from them.

I’ve been trying to collect books focused on logo/cover design of manga and just got a new one! “新しいコミックスのデザイン” The first part of the book has case studies for 3 titles and then the rest are two page spreads featuring different series with info about their logos and design #manga #graphicdesign
