Gail Griffin and the rest of the Republicans in the state legislature don't think affordability is an issue. This report from the right-leaning pro business think tank, Common Sense Institute, is telling a different story.
It's official! I'm the Democrat's nominee for LD19 State Senate. A big thank you to everyone who made this possible. Now on to the November General Election. Lots of stuff will happen in the next few weeks.
Out of 17,184 registered Dems in the county; for 36%. One day to go, all mailed ballots must arrive at the elections office by the end of the day tomorrow. Check back here for regular updates as Cochise County continues to process early voting. Comparison: Republicans 25.5%.
Out of 17,184 registered Dems in the county; for 35%. Let's get that number higher! Check back here for regular updates as Cochise County continues to process early voting. Comparison: Republicans 24.5%.
Not bad - out of 17,184 registered Dems in the county; for 30%. We can do better! Check back here for regular updates as the Cochise County continues to process early voting. Comparison: Republicans 19.7%.
Yesterday I spoke at two groups. The @cochisecodems.bsky.social general membership meeting and the Green Valley Democrats. Great time with outstanding activists. Below my BFF April Newman. She is also my campaign manager. Note: my absolutely outstanding new campaign polo shirt.

#Affordability The affordability political discussion has taken place mostly at the national level. However, state candidates, such as I, will need to have some thoughts on the issue. Let's start with where we are today. Trump administration decisions affect working class families the most!
The Democratic Party candidate for AZ State Senate did not qualify for the primary ballot. Democrats in LD19 want to ensure that voters have a choice this November and have asked me to step in as a write-in candidate. Learn more at www.rwkarp.com

Elections DO have consequences. Let's not forget that this November. Make sure you vote to protect voting rights in Arizona.
I'm not a big believer in polls, but trends are more interesting. Today, this from @nytimes.com their daily poll tracker.
WTF? This is for real posted by the president of the United States. Forget the 25th Amendment get the guys in the white uniforms and a big net.
Oh come on. Griffin has served in the AZ State Legislature for 24+ years. She believes in term limits? (I guess, only for US congress) Give me a break.
#Economy #ChartoftheDay Trump economic record. Not trending good. 2025 4th Qtr GDP only anemic 1.4%
I particularly like the number of times each president appears in the Epstein files. The graphic is from the Truth & Accountability Project. tap-pac.org
#Today'sHeadline Well, this is an interesting approach to affordability.
#Today'sChart Oh, oh. From @nytimes.com Support for Trump Big change in most sub-groups of the electorate, (well except Whites). There is much more work to do. Continue to give examples of where and how the Trump administration affects voters.
#Today'sChart From the @nytimes.com My 2 thoughts: Only 11% of Republicans think the country is worse off. Never admit it is the hallmark of the GOP now. I'm more curious about the Dems & Independents that think the country is about the same. Is that total disaffection with the status quo?
Something good happening from the DNC! This is targeted at young people with a PAID part time fellowship registering voters. We could use your help right here in Cochise County, Arizona. Check out this program today! democrats.org/whenwecount/
#Today'sChart From @pbump.com weekly newsletter a chart that tells us all we need to know about Trump and RFK, Jr.'s impact on our nation's health. Note: I added the Biden and Trump boxes for clarity, although the timeline on the x axis is fairly obvious.
Lots of good content on my personal website. I'm trying to get some traffic there. Take a look. www.rwkarp.com
