This study provides the first description of the tadpole and embryonic development of 𝘗𝘩𝘺𝘴𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘦𝘮𝘶𝘴 𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘬𝘢𝘦, including its external morphology, oral cavity, chondrocranium, and ontogeny. These findings expand our understanding of larval diversity and evolution within the 𝘗𝘩𝘺𝘴𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘦𝘮𝘶𝘴 𝘤𝘶𝘷𝘪𝘦𝘳𝘪 group.
Animal coloration evolves through both neutral processes and selective pressures. This review synthesizes current knowledge on color evolution in non-avian reptiles, using evidence from living and extinct species, and highlights key directions for future research for future research.
