What's going on with the Russian frigate Neustrashimy (Fearless) firing its guns off the UK coast? Naval gunnery drills in international waters are lawful. What is unusual is that the frigate chose to do so in one of the busiest shipping lanes on earth, 40 miles off a NATO naval base.

I was lucky to visit 78 Sqn of the RAF today, who keep our airspace safe and protected. They're bloody marvellous!
