Medicare Advantage Plans are wildly different from each other in coverage and cost, so the concern is that we can't ever make any assumptions. Only careful research nets best results for anyone needing it! They're all for-profit insurance companies looking out for their bottom $.

The ssa.gov just sent an email that enraged me so much that I blocked the sender. The email address of the sender was "subscription.service@subscriptions.ssa.gov". The email was totally inappropriate, ssa.gov.

Thanks for pointing that out. Actually I see that even Open Secrets sells the info about donors if anyone wants the info past the top 500 donors! [I'm a smaller-dollar donor than the top 500 for sure.] Also, I see that their most recent info was around August last year.

Right. And as @maddow.msnbc.com reported last night (4/30), it looks like the Gestapo-like arm of ICE [HSI] will feel empowered to accidentally ruin citizens' lives unless we expose them & protest to get their power reined in. It's the "Homeland Security Investigations" unit, friends:

This is a screenshot from Rachel Maddow's 4/30/25 show which shows the divisions of ICE and their directors. The most important part of this info is the fact that Robert Hammer is the current Director of "Homeland Security Investigations." It's a secretive, little-known but extremely powerful ICE division. HSI is conducting abductions and unannounced raids with plain clothes (& frequently masked) officers who are not displaying badges or judicial warrants. They also frequently refuse to explain which agency they work for. HSI; remember this.

Yes, all important. I cringed my way through the @nytimes.com "Eight Charts That Sum Up Trump’s First 100 Days" that purposefully neglected to mention that Trump's illegal E.O.s are a main reason why Trump is sued so often! [I'd share the article but it's B.S.] Other shortfalls in article.
