Ugh. In my day, young person, pornography was also rich and plentiful!

I think one [reason Gen Z is having less sex] is, frankly, the internet and smartphones, where there's kind of a substitution effect. You could get dressed up and go out on a date and try to find someone to sleep with, or you could scroll your feed and watch pornography at home and not have to make all of that effort and fear rejection. So the technological climate has a lot to do with it.

The entertainment is further enriched by the vitamin-depleted form of Beatrice Arthur, a girl who looks like a dragon-fly in mourning and who is, as she sees it, Auntie Mame's best friend. Miss Arthur, apparently maddened by her own mascara, is a tragedy queen to set back tragedy a few million light-years, and when she is yodeling a carefully ghastly song about the man in the moon really being a girl for a 1930ish operetta the Schuberts would surely have disowned, the art of no-comment clowning reaches something of a peak. The actress is not deadpan but deadsoul. She is a splendid spook and should have steady work from now on.
