Page 260 of the comic Logicomix. In it, we see a fictional, but plausible, conversation between Bertrand Russell (hat) and Ludwig Wittgenstein. They're walking through a snowy field in inter-war Belgium.

Russell comments: "[You're wrong, here's a non-inane one: "At least three things exist in this universe." To wit, look at...] this branch: three leaves exist on it, therefore "at least three things exist in the universe!"

Wittgenstein replies: "No, no, no! You are so wrong! You can say "at least three leaves exist on this tree... But you cannot say "In the universe"! Logic must not allow it, since you cannot picture the universe!"

He continues: "The paradoxes should have alerted you, Russell! Logic is vacuous... it cannot speak reality! Try and make empty form speak of substance and you get poppyock!"

Russell replies: "What about the statement "Tomorrow it will either snow or not snow? It's "empty form", yet totally true!"

And Wittgenstein ends the page with "Yes, but it tells us NOTHING of the weather tomorrow!"

Russels thoughts are shown in a yellow note at the bottom. "There it was: for twenty years I had sweated to justify the existence of a machine for manufacturing tautologies!"

By the way, because they can not get enough praise, check out how the fine folks at @newblood.games deal with Tim Sweeney, and a view into Sweeney's deranged capitalist ideology. They hate money though, which is is why they're okay with pissing off potential contracts worth millions of dollars.

In it, David Szymanski, the main developer of hit boomer shooter Dusk, calls out Tim Sweeney for this predatory, erratic, untrustworthy behaviour. Sweeney replies claiming his decisions are "basic, non-political American principles, such as free-markets" which is a gigantic contradiction and a self-own the magnitude of which hasn't left my head in these three years.

Fuck Tim Sweeney.

Well *of course* that was gross as hell. It's a story about an addict whose life has hit rock bottom. Anything but showing the misery of such a lifestyle would be glamorizing it. My only worry is that the story ends up bullying people like this instead of humanizing them.

A meme of the "aww you're sweet / hello, human resources?!" format. On the top we see Harry DuBois from the game Disco Elysium. He introduces himself by saying "I'm a mentally ill person and my addictions and depression have ruined my life.", to which a random lady swoons over and says "Awww, you're sweet."

On the bottom we see Yaniko/Yanineko, the protagonist of Chainsmoker Cat. She is a gray haired catgirl, smoking from a balcony in a cheap japanese second floor apartment. She says the same thing: "I'm a mentally ill person and my addictions and depression have ruined my life.", but this time the random lady is in a panic, calling someone urgently on her phone, screaming: "Hello, human resources?!".

The joke is that these are both stories about broken people struggling with addictions and an existentially collapsed life but the response is incongruent.
