Leaving Chicago after a wonderful Unrealfest, talked a ton with super talented folks across the UE and UEFN ecosystems, then an even more wonderful weekend exploring the city with L. Gorgeous place with amazing art, architecture, comedy, restaurants and cool bars too. Just an all timer of a place!
Seeing Belle & Sebastian play one of my favorite albums was balm after a bit of a sad day. It was a lovely show and I may have wept during Fox In The Snow.
After six weeks with us, Sugar went on to her forever home today. I’m both really happy she found such a nice new family and more than a little heartbroken to see her go. She was the best.
I attended Summer Game Fest in person thanks to my awesome friend Nico. Honestly, it was a lot of fun. Given the intense negativity of online gamer culture, it was really nice to be in a room of genuinely stoked people.
Fostering a new pup - well, she’s five, but they’re all pups to me - who was surrendered by her family, she’s confused and a little sad, so we’re doing our absolute best to make her feel welcome and loved. Her name is Sugar and she’s as sweet as her name. Just a lovely little dog.
It has been a truly lousy week, but tonight we drink espresso martinis, listen to the finest disco Tidal had to offer and celebrate Calvin’s sixth birthday.
Sometimes you set yourself arbitrary goals, one of mine was to hit level 999 in Ring Fit Adventure and, six years on, I have. Feel weirdly accomplished, that’s a lot of squats and planks.
Sitting in Auckland airport nursing a glass of wine while we wait for our plane home. New Zealand was a wonderful experience, honestly had no idea what to expect but the South Island was genuinely magical.

Somewhat shocked at how successful Nintendo’s Virtual Boy reboot is - it’s light the original minus the nausea and pounding headache. Wario is genuinely a fantastic game, great to finally be able to play it.
What's your #ChildhoodCinema? The Corn Exchange - a listed building - in Wallingford, Oxford. Saw Star Wars, Batman, Back to the Future, classic Disney and more there as a kid, used my babysitting money to buy myself a ticket to something most Friday nights once I was a pre-teen.
