Brought what I had into Unreal, to test scale and proof of process. Also curious to see what some quick Lumen would do for me. This isn't the lighting I'm imagining for the end product, but it lets me see the room, (and the room I have to grow!)

Some early concept exploration for composition and props using Clip Studio (which I love!): Started with research - asking myself "What if it's a steampunk kind of world... but more inspired by the Arts and Crafts movement?" I'll continue to brainstorm and develop these ideas as I expand in 3D.

I love designing geometry patterns as vectors, and importing them as a base for 3D models, especially for decorative elements. Allows for a smooth path from concept to 3D.

Using Blender for the first time in over ten years. Honestly, I've been loving the fresh challenge of it. Maya had been starting to feel super stale - something new was needed. I'm just noodling on this right now. It's not so much a blockout as an experimental space for learning.

A couple years ago, I visited Spain and saw the Spanish Palace in Madrid. I was really inspired by the upper windows overlooking the Main Staircase. When I saw them, I thought to myself - those would look cool in a more intimate space, like a wizard tower or an alchemist lab!

My goal is to keep the scope reasonable, so it's an interior diorama only. I have long loved point-and-click adventure games, especially those featuring a mystical/steampunk vibe with stylized realism - like Syberia. So, this is my general aim, for the time being.

Just visited Peru - Machu Picchu - and it was awesome! Inca architecture is amazing, even at a distance, even at the distance of a photo in a textbook. But what I've learned about Inca engineering - the systems and structures you cannot see - is even more so. I am so inspired!!
