I participated on a Bavarian fest parade on Sunday to cheer on our local Congress candidate. Short parade so I thought I could do it. But, the heat got me and I rode in the campaign truck most of the way. The parade was in the current Congressman's town. He didn't show up. Our guy was his fun self.

I went to a plant nursery yesterday. They open later here. Saw the most beautiful, healthy plants. Some that I've never seen in person. Today, I potted. It's too early to put them out but getting them started inside. Now I want more!!

The house is so strange today with no cat. I didn't sleep well night before last because I knew she was fading and yesterday morning was frantic to get her to vet. I got to hold her while she passed and didn't want to let go. Today is just sad. Almost 17 years of tortitude.

This morning. About 10" and snowed in all day. The plows are out now digging out everything.

The last moving box left my living room yesterday. Yay! It was a box of framed photos that needed sorting. Snowmageddon is supposed to hit tomorrow. So, today I got gas and bought some snacks and stuff for green chile stew. Now it won't snow.

Salt chunks. Got it at a street vendor. Love the soft light.

Snow is imminent here today. I am in the beautiful small town of Winona volunteering for a US Congress candidate. It's fun.a

Finally got my piece of New Mexico displayed in Minnesota

Here are my custom cabinets. I'll put a tension rod to hang things on over the sink. Can't believe there weren't any.

My sister has fixed me up!!

Just got back from breakfast with kids' friends, and a quick trip to my house to feed cat and shovel drive. Snowmaggedon has started. Photo taken an hour ago. Staying at kids due to Christmas Eve night grandkids emergency. Can't say much but granddaughter is in hospital since Thursday. Unhappy kid.

Merry Christmas Eve from my not decorated house. It seemed silly to decorate when I don't have everything put away yet. Going to spend today and tomorrow with grandkids. I get to share their decorations.

I ordered Ramen bowls for daughter's gift, at her request. Heard the rattle of broken pottery. I was sick over it and contacted company in Japan who requested photos. Only one of the four was broken so I can still give her 3 and get a replacement.

My driveway this morning. See the pole? It appeared earlier this week to guide the snow plow. This is why I pay HOA fees so somebody else has to shovel my driveway. Good day to curl up and stay warm. My kids are driving back from Arkansas. Sounds like it'll be an ugly trip.

Woke up to my first snow. The streets have already melted off so I can make a run to the little town grocery. Very thankful fir my garage. Then home to bake a cake and prep sweet potatoes.

My kids came over yesterday and we moved bookcases so I can unpack the last boxes. Still can't figure out how to arrange living area. Maybe when the boxes are out so I can see the whole space. I detest moving.

As a "baby" in all this, I appreciate all suggestions. Thanks. All 10 glassware boxes opened. Actual glass in #10. Found my coffee and filter canisters in #9, as well as electric kettle. No vacuum. Heater inspected this morning. Passed! Got weird thermostat programs canceled. Much too hot.

Don't see many of these in northern New Mexico.
