Sapphic Spock
@sapphicspock
Dreaming of a perfect world, planning for a better one. Often wrong, frequently loud. Trying to be a little better every day. Probably watching Heated Rivalry.
Ummmmm, why are Regina and Chloe looking at each other like that? Do I want to watch this? Is this .... sapphic?
I feel like some of us have been Cassandra, warning of the catastrophic potential of our choices, while people scoffed in our faces, claiming "that could never happen here."
I don't usually follow it because it's so erratic (meaning the facts will be different from site to site) but I heard so many ppl referring to it on threads I had to look. It would enrage me to be followed from one place to the other by folks who had a folder of my pics. Wearing Meta glasses?
Kind of overcast. Only got a couple of shots of the full #Manhattanhenge Half Henge tomorrow
See, yall are playing, but we used to have this (optional) staff meeting/social hour for my remote office. People were supposed to volunteer to share something to get folks talking. I did a presentation on Star Trek’s impact on the culture.
I'm not starring in a movie, but *this* is why I intend to take up space however I can. As Gloria Naylor said in Linden Hills, "a beautiful, black wad of spit right in the white eye of America"
Summer Fridays, remains of a charcuterie board and white sangria...
You know what? I'm not going to fucking let this go. The last time I sat down to outline an article about the sexual coercions/assaults/violations I've experienced, I stopped in my mid teens because I thought "no one's going to believe all this has happened to you." But thats why I have to do it.
@amethyst-idk.bsky.social I was going to tell you, when you asked, that I'm on the opposite side of the city from this whole situation, but I looked out the window at my meeting today and ACTUALLY...
I got ample evidence of this at lunch with my mom today. I couldn’t remember the name of the woman who fired me in 2020 but I remembered the gist of her tweet that she was let go a few months later. (Well I guess this is happening.) Mom remembered it down to the comma. (It was “welp,” honey) 😂 😂
Chapter 21 landing some time tonight, @joanofbarc.bsky.social !! Back to Montbonne…
Screaming laughing at this line from the #HRfic I’m reading with lunch #HeatedRivalry:
The easternmost point of it, where this country greets the sun and where the people I love the most live.
Oh, the sheer delight I'm feeling hearing THAT song at the fireworks and knowing those folks who marched in DC will be choking on it.
Some pics from past holidays: 1. Seafood - NYE 2. All the meats - Christmas 3. Oxtail & Brown rice - family birthday, I think 4. Lamb chops - my birthday Of course, no pics of my family holiday buffet spread, which usually freaks people out (duck, goose, sushi, ham, rice & peas, plantains, etc)
The way my overly serious, deeply boring nerdgirl ass is thrilled by this reply:
Ilya "do I look like a bitch who waits in the car" Rozanov Yuna "why is this mf in my house" Hollander David "McGill Chirp Champ" Hollander Shane "Do You Let Dad Win At Cards" Hollander
Also, Scott Hunter, you cockblocking weasel, if you had just kept your mouth shut, we might have had Cowboy Shane three episodes earlier.
And now, a brief break to be ridiculous: Hudson, get at me. Let's make this happen:
I don’t have words to express the frisson of glee your first sentence gave me. (I may have rolled the last four words of it around my mouth a few times.)
Yall, I forgot my followers on Threads are mostly family members and school friends.
Just as is. Yes, I flip them about mid way through. They're NOT going to get that yummy caramelized sear that you can get in a pan, but they will be cooked through properly, perfect texture inside, and a little crisp outside if you brush a little oil on the surface. 400° for 8 minutes.
