The prettiest lunch: caprese salad with nasturtium leaves and flowers. Sat down to eat and realized all the forks were in the dishwasher; ended up having to use a plastic fork.

The prettiest caprese salad that possibly has ever been made, with pearls of fresh mozzarella, grape tomatoes, fresh basil, and garnished with variegated nasturtium leaves and flowers.

What can I say, I have one smart pup. Smarter than me some days. This is him being incredibly grateful for me wrapping him up in a blanket when he was cold.

Finally finished this pair of socks, pretty happy with how they've turned out! 🧶🧦

One of the things I love deeply about CONvergence is that the volunteers work really hard to make inclusion as seamless and intuitive as possible for everyone. ALL restrooms in the convention space, both gendered and not, had these signs to help you find the facilities that work best for you.

All are welcome to use the restroom that best fits their identity." The bottom of the sign lists the amenities (urinals, stalls, in-stall trash, changing table) in that particular restroom.

The protests outside the DNC explicitly tied the Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party to the rest of Freedom Summer, including the murders of student volunteers Chaney, Schwerner and Goodman -- explicitly tying racial violence to systemic racism in a way that made a lot of people very uncomfortable.

I'm not much of a sewist, so as you might imagine I'm pretty pleased with how this ruana turned out. It's got an attached hooded scarf situation, and it's made out of sweatshirt-type fabric, making it VERY warm and cozy. Handmade tassel on the hood, easily the best I've ever made. 🧶

See these feet? They're covered in socks that I MADE MYSELF WITH MY TWO HANDS. They're not necessarily the greatest socks, but they're cozy and comforting and I made them. Gonna eat some tempeh sloppy joes while Julia Child teaches me about french bread, then start in my second pair.
