My eldest (now almost 16yr) was a big fan of both Thomas the Tank Engine and Octonauts, and I recognise these thoughts! I do remember stumbling across this and similar pieces at the time. My academic background doesn't equip me to comment on its quality.
I know there's a lot of awful stuff on social media and that those who run the companies are interested in profit above any responsibility towards users, but I am trying to work out how to navigate this with my autistic 12yr old who gets so much joy researching his special interests on YouTube 😔
I saw this advert today inviting experts by experience as well as health care professionals (GPs, nurses, community/hospital pharmacists and technicians) and researchers to take part in three one hour workshops to look at promethazine. Thought I'd share in case you were interested.
I've just finished reading "Don't burn anyone at the stake today" by the wonderful @naomialderman.bsky.social and I'm now going to be incessantly recommending it to people. I'll also be trying to apply the principles to my own life and decision making [cont.]
Oh yes, do come and say "Hi" and grab a network badge from me if you don't already have one.
Great trip with my lovely littlest sister to see the penultimate Cardiff performance of the Pride musical (shortly to transfer to London). Fantastic performances, and important messages that remain (depressingly) relevant 🏳️🌈
May we all find light in the darkness, hope even when tempted to despair, and joy in the companionship of a community that nurtures us.
I went to visit Button House with my younger son (a big Ghosts fan) a couple of years ago. It was a brilliant trip, highly recommend it if you get a chance. Robin is his favourite (Moon. Can't touch it. Still good though.")
I'm so keen to promote them that I literally have the t-shirt 🤭 poetrypharmacy.co.uk/pages/our-st...
For #WorldPoetryDay a timely prescription from @poetrypharmacy.bsky.social The poet hails from 14th century Persia.
Maybe #TinyJoys is the wrong term for a Big Band gig, but the power of community music making is a force for good in the world I reckon. And it was so nice that boy 1 came with me to hear his dad play, and help with the social media posting!
It was via @missmc.bsky.social that I first encountered Operation Mincemeat. I fell in love and couldn't stop telling other people to listen to it. Saw it twice in London and this week squeezed in two visits to the touring production here in Bath with lots of my friends & family. An absolute joy 💛
I'll be interested to know what you think of this. I've used a similar one previously and I loved discovering new poems and learning more about familiar ones. I haven't decided whether to revisit the book again this Lent or try something different from my bookshelf.
Partly inspired by @stpguy3.bsky.social I discovered yesterday that left-over sticky toffee pudding sauce makes a great pancake topping. Would certainly recommend. #TinyJoys #PharmFoods #ShroveTuesday
Dear @lizgloyn.bsky.social, thank you for sharing this poem which captures perfectly much of my own pandemic experience. My heart breaks for all the important, unrecoverable experiences our children and young people missed. But seeing my uni on the class action list did make me shed a few tears.
A nice, lazy day. Things that pleased me include doing fancy mash potato on top of the cottage pie and a walk in the sunshine featuring lots of snowdrops. #TinyJoys #PharmFoods
What a lovely idea! You can support an independent book seller and provide extra copies of popular books to York library service. I have just bought a copy of The Rose Field by Phillip Pullman (assuming I followed Kirstie's directions correctly)
I'm so naive - of course you can get empty capsules of many different varieties from an array of online stores! This was one of the best size charts I found with measurements of diameter as well as length.
I don't often post about church stuff here, but goodness only knows we all need to light candles against the darkness right now. This beautiful choral service is one of my favourites: looking back to Christmas and forwards to Lent and Easter. If you happen to be in Bath tomorrow you'd be v. welcome.
Plenty of #TinyJoys in the embers of 2025 today including a beautiful sunset. I hope 2026 brings you all many moments of delight, comfort, joy and peace.
Ridiculously pleased with my rocky road Christmas pudding, made to share at my parents' Christmas gathering today #PharmFoods I also feel very lucky to be able to share time with my mum, dad, sisters, brother-in-law and nephews (as well as my own lovely husband and kids of course)
✨ I hope you had a lovely Christmas with special people and some nice things ✨
🧵5/5 You can express an interest in the focus groups via a page in the survey: tinyurl.com/572cwhya Or message me separately. Thank you for supporting the development of tomorrow's pharmacists! #AdvancedPractice #PharmSky #PharmacyResearch
(2/2) We want to learn more about your reasons for pursuing credentialling and your experiences of the journey. Please reply here or email scm20@bath.ac.uk if you'd be happy to consider taking part or share this post with somebody who might be. Thank you! #AdvancedClinicalPractice #PharmacyResearch
(1/2) My MPharm4 students are doing a project on pharmacists' experiences of #AdvancedPractice credentialling. We are looking for focus group participants who have achieved recognition under @rpharms.com Core Advanced credentialling or @england.nhs.uk Centre for Advancing Practice route (or both!)
@capcbristol.bsky.social was well represented at the @swpharmres.bsky.social Innovation Day yesterday with the IMPPP and RAPID IMMUNE TEST studies both being discussed in the morning presentations. It was also great to share some early reflections from my PhD work in the poster session.
Good morning, the kids have been dispatched to school and given instructions on how to get the dinner cooking when they get home so I'm on my way to Bristol. Looking forward to meeting lots of other @swpharmres.bsky.social members today #SWPRN25
