I was shocked to see that, prior to his nomination for Widow's Bay, Stephen Root had only been nominated for an Emmy *once* (for Barry). I really hope he wins this time around, though he's got some stiff competition (I watch nearly all of these shows and like all of these actors)
Although the decision to name a character "James Taylor" did lead to me saying this a lot.
Found out that zinc deficiency is common in huskies, which could explain some of the skin/fur loss issues Boomer’s been having. I’m sharing this information entirely because I want to post this meme.
Boomhauer has recently decided that it’s his choice when I have to get up, and this is how he asks me to do so. Note that this is after he’s had breakfast and been outside, so it’s literally just him being annoyed I’m not awake yet. Buddy, I work nights, let me live 😭
Basically: I got an alert from Fi that there was a dog missing near me, a Westie named Noodle. The GPS indicated he was just a few blocks away, so I drove over and joined several other people out looking in the area. Maybe 10 minutes later, they had Noodle secured! Gotta love a happy ending. 2/3

Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band at Nationals Park frickin ruled. I had actually never seen a concert at a baseball stadium before! So it was very cool it was the park of my husband’s hometown club. And obviously it had to be Bruce. Per his orders, we let ‘em hear us at the fuckin’ White House.
This was years ago, but I dreamed that this was the hot new meme format: A guy on a jetski with the phrase "That is [number over 100]% not my problem." There were variations with different pictures and percentages, but the general layout was otherwise always the same.
Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band have been rocking so hard for so long, and I feel lucky every single time I get to experience it. But this current tour…not that Bruce using his platform to fight the good fight is new, but I’m so appreciative of the fierceness/clarity with which he’s doing it

The Pitt is one of the best shows on TV, but every now and then a character will say something that feels exactly like this to me.
If I'm looking at his credits right, last year was the first year since 1998 that David Boreanaz didn't have a main role in an actively airing TV series, which is kind of wild.
Ended up on a YouTube video of Pavarotti performing and the comments section is mostly people arguing about opera and singers and it's one of the most Frasier-coded things I've ever encountered. Like, tell me you didn't read this comment in David Hyde Pierce's voice.
Happy/sad news: After eight months of us fostering Hazel, she finally got adopted! We just sent her off to her forever home today. We know she's in great hands and she's going to be so loved and cared for, but we sure are going to miss the little lady.
I saw Zach Woods at LAX in 2017 taking part in a protest against the Muslim travel ban. He's been a real one for a long, long time.
