Relentlessly hopeful for our future 🌿🌏♻️🚴♀️ Tangata Tiriti. She/her. 🏳️⚧️ 🇵🇸
Popped up in my feed today... only just advertising for enrolment processor 🤷♀️ I'm sure there's other similar roles, but come on!
Just seen this point raised and not one I'd picked up on, but it's valid.
So here's the thing - Nats are trying to play both sides and keep votes/power by calling Winston's comments racist, while being willing to work with him still. The problem with that is that voters who don't like the racism, also won't like people who don't take a stand against it. #nzpols
If only the government were the actual adults that the PM says they are 🤷♀️
I love the Grocer website for comparisons. Was put onto it just a few weeks ago.
If there's one thing I do want politicians of all stripes to do, it's to listen - to to respond, but to understand. To acknowledge that there are different views and try and find a respectful way to lead our country. This 👇 is disappointing. Not just the action, but to gloat about it.
20 ducklings in the Chch Botanic Gardens this morning. Sooo cute, but it's late autumn... 😕
In just 15 years we've gone from one storm every 19 days to one every 8 days. And the deniers are in the minority, no matter how loudly they troll.
An awesome group for an inspiring day! Mō tātau, ā, mō kā uri ā muri ake nei. (Ngāi Tahu - for us and our children after us).
I spent today at Ōnuku Marae on Te Pataka o Rakaihautū Banks Peninsula at a nature symposium. Ōnuku have a 200 year vision to restore the Harbour and today we heard about the extensive mahi in mapping and understanding the seabed and partnering to farm kelp for harvest and restore biodiversity. 🐟🐬🪼🐚
My niece's cat, Fish, lives in luxury at my parents' place when she's on her OE in London. He's gorgeous and nearly 1m long when he sploots!
Is that the old 7 Oaks School site? I think the MoE have recently reopened a kura there.
A foraging expedition to the red-zone this afternoon and I see crumble in my future 😋 Thanks to @ashleykiwi.bsky.social for the apple tree location. The feijoas were just beside the City to Sea pathway near Stanmore Rd (I think).
I've just found this - which is reassuring for my folks here in Ōtautahi.
I present to you the perfect feijoa spoon. Perfect curvature and with fine edges designed to easily scoop the flesh without then being too sharp on one's lips.
Green MP Mike Davidson called for a much wider inquiry in letter to SC Chair and did it two weeks earlier - Costley coat-tailed to get publicity and limit the inquiry to fleet only and not wider issues. www.facebook.com/share/p/1J22...
And I read a paper version! Doesn't happen often these days. But useful 👇
We're lucky to have great open source data here in Ōtautahi. Weekly counts across lots of counters, updated daily. Here's what it looks like today 😀 Purple is counts in both directions total and green is uni-directional. smartview.ccc.govt.nz/data/cycle-c...
@ashleykiwi.bsky.social Grocer looks great, thanks! I'd not heard of it before and will def be using.
