I probably should have ridden the bike this morning, but sitting in the back yard with coffee was just too nice.
This is why I’m not worried about robots ending humanity (not intentionally, anyway)
Rough morning for TRAX. Power is out in Murray, preventing switches from working.
Just out here deleting Nazi bullshit from my neighborhood. Wheatpasted posters come off really easily with some vinegar spray and a wire brush, btw.
70,000 acres. Countless homes burned. A local economy severely impacted.
@opensnow.bsky.social now showing hotspots across 89, so the wind keeps pushing the Cottonwood Fire further east. Hoping that these satellite hotspots are residual heat from the fire, but seems unlikely.
The cabin I stayed in a few years ago at Crusher is most definitely gone.
Forecasted winds could easily blow this fire into Junction and Circleville - the Fire Weather Watch has this:
The Tushar mountain range has massively burned. Eagle Point is likely gone - and likely all of the cabins around that area. Circleville and Junction are on ready status for evacuations.
Things are going great here in Utah. Better pray for rain and build more data centers, right @govcox.bsky.social?
Has anyone stopped to think that maybe we misunderstood what @govcox.bsky.social was asking us to pray for?
It's new bike day! This goofy build is a response to having had my 2017 Cannondale Slate stolen a few years back. The new Lefty Oliver 2.0 was just begging to go on a metal frame, and why not try out a titanium State? Really excited to be riding SRAM XPLR 13 speed and a refreshed Lefty design.
It's not every day you get to tell at your local transit agency for screwing up their GTFS feed you're using to build an app to track all of their vehicles.
Honestly, the new Open designs are uglier than the previous versions though. I just cannot with their new headtube design. The original Open UP still wins out.
I still blows my mind that a two silly antennas on my roof can see all these aircraft.
