Also got a signature from Toshimasa Kuroyanagi on the BD for The Great Passage
Autographs today include yet another on my GQuuuuuux print, this time Simba Tsuchiya, JP voice of Shuji, which means I now have both English and Japanese VA for Shuji
I really can't get over how hilarious this closing line from CR's email about the store changes is. You can't wait to show me? But you're already hiding the "new shopping experience" (stupid buzzword-y description🤮) from me because I guess I don't pay you jackasses enough as it is!
The original poster makes its own mistake with the city geography though too. If it were mirrored, it MIGHT pass for a view from the Marin side, so I suppose if anything, the new poster is just honoring the old poster's wonky geography.
So there's a new poster for Star Trek 4's anniversary and while I have a few minor issues with it (logo, odd emphasis on vehicles), there's a glaring error that just really makes it not work for me. San Francisco should be behind the camera if that's where you're looking at the Golden Gate from.
That's exciting and all but did you hear that @animeigo.com is releasing AD Police on UHD? Along with BDs for titles like Sakon the Ventriloquist, House of Five Leaves, Baby & I, and Drucker in the Dugout?
Yeah, definitely the Nozomi styles at the core, as that screenshot matches my clone style, which I reverse-engineered from their Gundam subs
That last one might look a bit basic on its own, but in motion? Much better. There are a few moves like this implemented in the series. Couldn't make it work every time, but I'd say 90% of the ones I wanted worked just fine.
Also, to go along with those reposts, here's a handful of typesetting examples from Master of Martial Hearts. The title logo has a color change effect on it as well.
These are also from Zegapain but weren't in that thread, we have full translations for the Zegapain AIs that speak Spanish and French.
I did something absolutely silly for one of the sign subs on HanaDan. Of course, this was just a prototype for something I did on one of the upcoming Otakon announcements that blows this simple animation out of the water.
I had to look for myself if that AI-generated Shatner thumbnail was real and yep. Too bad Rosemary's Baby didn't land next to it, that would have been the correct reaction.
If I didn't already have the 4K (for better or for worse), I might be bummed about not going to AX this year. Still, hell yeah.
I like the ergonomics personally. I do understand the complaints about the stick placement and the possibility of thumbs hitting together, but overall, not bad at all
Hot on the heels of Star Fox, I've obtained the first screenshot of the Yoshi's Island remake:
Sketchbook drops August 10th (or earlier)! www.mediaocd.com/product-page...
Now, with the subs enabled on the JP UHD vs the US UHD. What's wild is that they still accounted for positioning the subs above the caption so it didn't overlap but somehow did nothing about the missing caption.
That I know of, there aren't any major dialogue revisions, but one thing that was changed between the theatrical/JP streaming version and the home video version was added captions in parts of the film. For example, at 1:18:24, we see this shot. In the JP stream, no caption. On home video, captions.
You know, there's a lot of talk about AI reading our emails and such (rightfully, I might add) but honestly, I can't begrudge Outlook's "It looks like you said included an attachment but you didn't attach anything. Did you forget to?" warning. He's still there in spirit if not in actual form...
I bought two of these back when and painted one with the red coloring from the old 2003 artbook. I wrapped it and stored it when I moved so no pics of it on hand unfortunately.
The real casualty of the power outage yesterday. RIP Wordle streak.
