Realized the way I'd set up my temperature based art project for the year had made it more of a chore than a joy, so revisited the plan. Think I like where it is now - this is January:

Forgot to share my art for the first two weeks of February! Also, I turned 40 in there. :)

Continuing my temperature art project, January is done!

31 days of abstract line art in the colors of sunrise and sunset. Sunrise colors are along the bottom rows, for daily low temps. Sunset colors are the top rows, for daily high temps.

Went to the Field Museum yesterday and made sure to take time to walk along Lake Michigan while I was out. The sheer beauty of the lake and the sky together never fails to fill me with joy! #ArtAdventCalendar

OP, sleepycatmama: One should always have at least 2 craft projects going. That way, when one of them is messed up and misbehaving, you can switch to another, and let the first one sit there and think about what it's done.

reply from capricorn-omnikorn: Sometimes (oftentimes), when a creative project is "misbehaving," it's because it is tired, and overstimulated, and just needs a time out to rest -- like toddlers often need. And sometime, you should give your creative projects time to talk to each other, as well as to you.

Trekkies, if you see this, post your first experience with Star Trek. Back in the late 90s, I read my first copy of this book so many times the spine broke. Nowadays I have spare copies!

I should really travel more! Especially out west.

Went for a walk before work this morning and had a good chuckle at whichever mischevious soul stuck a couple of target shopping carts out on the ice. 😄 #morningwalk

Once I realized I'd be doodling a lot at my job, I started getting the brown moleskines so I could draw on the covers too! This is the front cover of my second work notebook. #ArtAdventCalendar
