Stuck in the past. Kinda sick of drawing, not very active on here
Posted a little comic strip to the website. I had the idea to do old-fashioned interstitial comics between stories for a while now, but I don't actually know if I'll do more of them.

Quick little doodle to test out some new brushes. I'd want Marie to look more like this if I ever did an issue 2. I kinda like the idea of painted backgrounds, but I'm not so sure yet.

Sounds like the kinda vibe I'm looking for. Neocities has that as well, ofc, but ComicFury being specifically for comics gives it a lot more quality of life features I could definitely use. And thanks! Here are a few screencaps. She talks very fast and has all the ADD quirks :-)

I'm thinking of migrating everything over to ComicFury, even though that sounds exhausting. I like the simplicity and the layout over there. I'd keep using Neocities for fun Any advice from people who use it/have migrated over to it before?

Posting this one separately because I could imagine it being harder to look at. I don't know how far I want to go with the 'body horror' aspect for the ghosts yet, but I think they'd balance out how milquetoast Edythe is.
Edythe is probably the closest thing I have to a comfort character. She's also the character I hate drawing the least.
Been meaning to draw Mysterio for a while now. He's always been one of my favourites
Designing a website that doesn't look like absolute shit is proving to be one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. There are countless guides/templates for building something functional, but when it comes to style, I guess there aren't any shortcuts. You just need an eye for that sorta thing
One nagging thing that bugged me about Marie's design, is that if you cropped her from the knees up (common for comic panels) her hat didn't match anything, which never looked right to me. Someone smarter than me suggested gloves, so I tried it. Does it work, or does it look too 'contrived'?
A little while back I had the idea of doing "interstitial" comic strips between stories, where I'd really try to push the vintage style. I think it works way more than her regular design tbh
Yeah sorry, I didn't realize how much compressing the pages would affect things. This makes the difference more overt, I think. I'm definitely looking too closely in some cases, but I kinda can't help it
I haven't been looking at socials, sorry--just working on this comic. I think the excessive filters I'm covering it in might look awful in print, but they also save the background from looking completely flat. Could use your brutally honest opinions. I don't know what I'm doing.
