and here's the result of our testing in the slots. All work fine in the multitap. Bottom three were the only ones that worked in the slot without disconnecting, which... says a lot (they were also the most tight). Top all failed and kept unmounting. Unacceptable.

my second oem memory card that was clean pins, barely used, bought JUST TWO DAYS AGO from ebay shattered after I deep cleaned with iso alcohol (apparently 91% is bad? TIL) and pulled it out of the S1's slot, SHATTERED except when it was in the slot, it didn't read the S1's SNAC slot is shit

During the finishing phase of this the MemcardPro people seems to indicate the SNAC port does have trouble reaching pins compared to the OG and are slightly outta spec, to which taki's response essentially confirmed that A: no, the SNAC port will not be fixed and B: add a solder blob forworkaround

The card. Board is fine, i dont think the SS did this to the card, but it works fine on my PS2 even still. If the *slight* movement is causing it to fail, then that’s still a bad SNAC port IMO. Yes the pins are cleaned

PS2 in comparison; can handle all the wiggle in the world. The SS’s memory card port just flat out sucks. This might be why some third party cards like Memcard dont work

I love my SSOne’s Snac port seeming to be made so weirdly it cant recognize my oem card due to plastic damage despite the PS2 being A-OK with it! gg system no issues totes
