I'm always wishing, even in non-eyelash moments. She/Her, 🖤💜🤍. Fandom writer, graphic maker. sammichgirl on AO3. #saveourparks 🏕🏜🏞⛰️
Somebody got a spa day with grooming AND a pup cup treat after! #lucyvanpudgelet 🐾❤️
Today's the day, Virginia! Get out and vote in the primaries! 🌊🗳 #elaineluria
Celebrating Lughnasadh! 🍯💐🫖🌻 Spent the morning at the farmer's market down at Old Beach in the Vibe district. Gorgeous art, brews, flowers and walked away with some local made salts from the Eastern Shore Barrier Islands and Chesapeake honey.
Friday evening walkies... it's a really nice night for the end of July, so I walked her til we're both tuckered. 🐾❤️ (captions in alt text)
My cousin and her daughters visited the Air Force Museum in Ohio today and...😯
Yeah, it may be small but I know a fae portal when I see one. Fairy ring is just entrapment. 🧚🏽♂️🍄
I did my backyard adventure inside a local art museum today - free and cool and oh so very fun for a museum nerd like me! The Chrysler collection was extensive and I'm so glad I took time to see it all without rushing. Info on each in the alt text. More to come on the book of faces.
The heat dome is moving my way. 😭🫠 Be safe, hydrate, stay indoors!
Decided to educate myself this Juneteenth with another tiny backyard adventure deep in the outreaches of Chesapeake. I did a self-guided driving tour of the African American Heritage Trail. There were six stops (three noted below in alt text) - and bonus was a stamp in my VA250 book at a museum!
Discovered a new (to me) line of chocolate bars - each one is based on a book of classic literature and features flavors that thematically match or pulled right from the pages! 📚🍫 Also featuring Miss Lucy, who tried to convince me goat's milk chocolate wasn't like real chocolate. 🙄😂🚫
Her little mohawk is my mom's favorite thing. Lucy is a bad ass baby 😂🏍 (personally, I am forever enchanted by the heart on her ear. 🥰)
Spring really does have a beauty and charm of its own, even if it brings the dreaded summer and heat. Finch nest in my door wreath and a single egg, blooming daylily in my front landscaping. (I used 10x zoom for the nest from a stool - no disturbance)
Logical thoughts to rest before my trip so I could have stored energy for my adventures did not work out as planned. Lupus is kicking my ass. I fought hard last week to do what I enjoy, even though my body said no at every turn. I'm not ready to not be me anymore. I'm in pain and exhausted. 😟
Yesterday was my last day in the PNW, and we explored Bainbridge Island. I'm sad to leave! Pia the Peacekeeper Troll, Rainbringer - a Suquamish inspired art piece, the Japanese American Exclusion Memorial dock and whale fluke art for the upcoming FIFA World Cup at SeaTac airport.
Spent most of the day Friday at Snoqualmie Falls! I could be completely happy in the PNW. Coffee places that are independentand local, lush greenery, and waterfalls, such whimsy and history!
Olympic National Park today, and I simply cannot state how much I love the PNW. The green, the waters, the temperatures, the clouds, the people. 🥰 Waterfalls were today's challenge, and I came across this gorgeous raven!
A few days on Hood Canal, small side quest visit. 😊 Rhododendrons everywhere! The water here is so calm, the beach full of oyster and clam shells. Yes, I played an older, short, chubby, female version of Thoren Bradley and actually chopped a small piece in half. Also, wild elk!
Mount Rainer today! I can't even find the words to describe the incredible beauty in the waterfalls, the forests, the animals and of course, the mountain peaks and the majesty of the big momma herself. Mother Nature is incredible. 🚶🏼♀️🥾🏔🌲🍄🦌
First couple days in Seattle - small overview! West Point Lighthouse, A Salish Welcome sculpture, the best latte I've ever had at haunted Ghost Alley Espresso, and oyster shooter at Pike Place Fish Co. Tomorrow - Mt. Rainier National Park!
On my way out to get my fresh cute haircut before vacation at the end of the week, this little family was crossing my tiny condo yard. 🥰🦆
Can't remember if I'd mentioned that Lucy has bladder cancer. I took her in yesterday for another UTI. The mass in her bladder has grown & is partially blocking her urethra. Her bloodwork came back today - she's also got kidney disease. I'm snuggling her & keeping her pain-free as much as I can.

Oh my God, Becky, look at her butt. 🎶 😂🐾❤️ Not a good angle on Miss Lucy van Pudgelet, but it's Furry Friends Friday!
