The #Dovestone fire is absolutely KILLING the air quality across large parts of the Dark Peak. Running near Marple last night was dreadful. A nice view of Mellor Cross, but Manchester itself was completely lost in the haze ☹️

Demonstrating a clear relationship between increased anthropogenic CO2 and climate change. One that is independent of the other 10+ forces (variables) we know can also influence climate. Remembering of course that in the real World all of these forces interact to give an enormously complex effect on planet Earth which I'd argue is almost impossible to differentiate and allow us to rest the blame solely on C02.

I've searched a great deal through the literature and can still not see concrete proof that human produced CO2 has impacted climate. I can see lots of inference, models and physical theory but so far no demonstrated proof. I think you would agree with me on this wouldn't you? 3h

A weekend away camping at Lathkill Dale in the Derbyshire Dales ⛺️ The so-called “White Peak” is dominated by Lower Carboniferous carbonate and the superimposed karstic landscape 🪨 🌧️ It’s a deceptively stunning part of the Peak District, which I was fortunate to grow up quite near to! 🖤

Every day over the past week or so we’ve had a message like this. Often twice as long and twice as convoluted. And it’s not restricted to this year; messages like this are a common occurrence every summer. Just get a summer uniform and be done with it. Or dispense with uniforms altogether…

Dear parents and carers,
The weather is now as expected for the time of year, so we plan to revert back to our normal school uniform this week.
However, for Monday 29th June only, students do not need to wear blazers or ties. This is in case some of the classrooms have retained heat over the weekend. Students must wear their white school shirt and either the school skirt or trousers.
Normal black school shoes must also be worn.
From Tuesday 30th June, students must also wear their tie and blazer to school.
Those wearing the skirt uniform may choose to wear plain black, navy or white ankle socks instead of tights for the rest of this term.
We will continue to monitor the weather and make any amendments as necessary.
