Today at 15:00 on Noods Radio (dot com), I’m back on ghe airwaves with the hottest #JoinTheFuture show since records began. Cooling and meditative sounds to distract from the extreme heat!
Keith (JD Twitch) will be looking down and cheering on the Glasgow anti-fascists
“I’m just hearing that Dr Hook is not a fully qualified GP. And on that bombshell, goodnight and A-Ha!”
This reminds me of the time a YouTuber with a music channel made a big song and dance about “revealing the story of bleep”. It was basically just bits from my book but with him pretending he’d done all this research (for the record it took me nearly six years to research the actual book)
You may have seen a fair bit about Daniel Dylan Wray’s new history of music in Sheffield, ‘Groovy, Laidback & Nasty’. It’s a great book and well worth reading - I heartily recommend it. When you’re done with that, grab my book, #JoinTheFuture - plenty more Steel City fare in that
Surely “we’re going to get battered by Arsenal” would be more accurate.
I looked at reports of some of the matches he reffed involving Ipswich and this (BBC Sport, report on the game at Cov a few months ago) stood out
#ncfc A few yesterday were speculating about the record of ref Anthony Backhouse in games involving that lot from Suffolk. He has officiated the same number of games involving them and us. The two records are almost opposite results wise
What’s better than a pic of a cat in a cardboard box? A pic of a very grumpy cat in a cardboard box!
How predictable. This quote made me laugh. The rich still have the “ability to move and work wherever they want”, what they really value is paying zero tax and contributing sod all - unlike the rest of us. Selfish parasites who often expect us, via government contracts, to subside them
He “appeared to avoid the hedonistic excesses of DJ life”. This does not tally with the umpteen stories I have heard over the years about his alleged fondness for, ahem, certain things
“In 1987… Andrew was a c*nt. in 1988… Andrew was a c*nt. in 1989… Andrew was a c*nt….. I could go on”
In typical Betwixtmas fashion, I have no idea when the recycling collection is meant to be (it certainly didn’t happen on Monday as normal). Used the council website tool to check… and this is the bot particularly helpful result 😂 Slow handclap for Bristol City Council
Update: forgot to show the awesome plastic box as bedside table arrangement
Brother and sister in law have invited both families and thus I have been relegated to this classic #DuvetKnowItsChristmas arrangement in their downstairs office/music practise room. Had to lobby to get a lamp 😂
There’s something Scargill-esque about darter Callan Rydz’s combover. Definite blast from the past
Her indoors is not happy about my inability to stop the rain. By the way she goes on you’d think that crap weather was all my fault.
Looks like Daniel has let himself go since his Norwich glory days. That’s aging for you
Back on the virtual wireless (via noodsradio dot com) at 15:00 BST today with the latest episode of #JoinTheFuture. This one features excerpts from recent interviews with Glenn Underground and Freeform Five, plus lots of ace music
The absolute peak of tabloid hilarity was undoubtedly the Daily Star’s front page campaign to see whether a lettuce could outlast then Prine Minister (and MAGA loving oddball) Liz Truss. It did too 😂
Have just been done like a kipper by the cat in a classic “move your feet, lose your seat” move over possession of the office chair. She delivered a great distraction to get me up, before sneakily moving into position while my back was turned.
Have now moved onto this perfect gem - Global Communication’s “remix album”, ‘Remotion’.
