My single speed was a “bit worn out” squared tyre, worn chain, bottom bracket, chain ring, sprocket and brakes all knackered 🫣 winter hack commuting…LBS put a smaller front ring on, as I mostly ride this to commute now doubt i will ever time trial it again and want to be able to pull away easier.

Judgemental smart watch 🙄 i am doing stop start sprint riding in heavy traffic, in work clothes and rucksack straight after a days manual labour 🤣
First run in ages, i do usually stop early spring and restart midsummer, but have been less active overall lately due to an ear disease. Still, reasonable base fitness to build upon, seeing as i cycled 14 total miles to work and back earlier and did 6k steps too.
Cycle commute on my Brompton was no slower than my motorcycle, just a different route.
First longer cycle ride for a while, just over 28 miles with CyclingUK local club branch.
Back running after illness waiting for an ENT referral 😬 constant ear infections causing absolute agony, then too dosed up on codeine, antibiotics etc. to run 🥶😱 Not “serious” but a total PITA, took it easy to avoid pulling a muscle, hopefully build up to a HM in September, ear permitting.
I wish councils would stop normalising pavement parking, it encourages it.

At my allotment today, never has rhubarb bolted so early in the year 🤯 good harvest off of it though
