That's how you do it! Jesse Welles was scheduled to perform tonight at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden. The workers of the venue called a one day strike due to severe problems with management on getting a contract. Welles refused to put anyone in the position of crossing the picket line.

Got my replacement back patch sewn onto my vest tonight. I really wanted to have it be Wild Wheels Weekend in two weeks but also for leading the Gwynn's Island group ride tomorrow.

Things I won't touch with a 10' pole: FB Marketplace edition. It's the liquid tank of an old agricultural chemical sprayer rig. I don't even want to think about what chemicals may still impregnate that wood. Even if I needed a small off-road trailer I'm not going near that.

I worked in UNC's central IT division during most of the years he was chancellor. It just makes me understand ever more the source of the endless bullshit my colleagues and I had to fight through to succeed.

I just noticed that my bike's gas cap has a Harley-Davidson logo. That's just so unnecessarily extra. I only happened to look because I was installing this keeper magnet. There's no provision for placing the cap while fueling the bike.

This Leatherman Wave multitool original (has slip joint locks for the inner tools) that I acquired at Linux World Expo in NYC in February of 2000. It's engraved with the domain of CopyLeft LLC which has been gone for over 20 years. I've considered upgrading to a newer tool but it does what I need.

Wringing out some things after about 10 miles of riding in rain on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Type 1, 2 and 3 fun was had, plus an earlier emergency wiring repair as one bike suffered a broken wire between the stator and the regulator/rectifier.
