And now it's the turn of Knight's Computers "Expert Machine Code" to be added to the archive :) The documentation is a tiny manual forming the cassette's J-card so very hard to read in its tiny font, the PDF on my archive makes this much easier. mz-archive.co.uk/downloads/qV...
Got it up and running, will do a proper video in a couple of days when my son’s back and can hold the camera :) or vice versa as he’s bound to want to play it. Give it a decent play for a while, it’s pretty addictive :) The ship movement is very player friendly which is great!
Finally added a copy of Hisoft's "Pascal" interpreter / compiler for the MZ-700 to my archive! mz-archive.co.uk/downloads/ES...
Post a perfect album from the ‘90s that isn't nirvana, soundgarden, pearl jam, or alice in chains.
Looking good! Written for R&L BASIC 700-4, but can work in standard Sharp BASIC (however currently the colours will be slightly wrong if S-BASIC is used, I believe Roy is updating this and will be fixed later). Just showing off how terrible I am at Tetris :D
Another awesome arrival today :) According to the seller they are rare. Certainly not seen them before myself, and inside the cassette case there are tonnes of printed instructions (in very small type).
Another nice arrival today :) Never heard of this one before so had to have it for the collection.
Another nice arrival today :) three more titles for the collection, never knew these existed. Just when I think there can’t be many more releases to collect for the MZ, more always seem to crop up!
Well that’s just bloody great. My main laptop. Luckily most things including my websites are backed up but definitely lost some stuff. Good old SSDs.
And here is another recovery from a -really- bad tape. It turns out that "Ghouls & Ghosts" is a graphic adventure after all and quite nicely presented!
Finally rescued 'The Evils of Dennis' from a very bad tape (with the help of a friend) and it's not too bad. It's like another Nightmare Park mini-game release (with some rather intriguing insults included).
Without stating your age post your favourite film released the year you turned 18. I saw it in the cinema. It wasn't great (although the camerawork was pretty impressive). However, the Assembly Cut which I only saw for the first time a few years ago is like a different film! Like it a lot.
This game made such an impression on me. It really felt like you were part of a living breathing galaxy. And the storyline was great. All on a couple of 360K floppy disks.
Just thinking back to the amazing time when Retro Gamer magazine reviewed @jfroholt.bsky.social 's awesome game Minesnake and gave it 82% ! In my opinion, best Snake-type game available for the Sharp MZ series :D They also gave us a two page spread with an interview with Joachim too.
Another interesting arrival today! I wonder just how much it has to do with the arcade game of the same name. Probably very little!
For instance, the first picture here is the first bank on the Western character set and the second picture represents the Japanese machines' first bank of chars.
A few more arrivals today :) Particularly interesting if you want extra extra ++ Biorhythms
Another new arrival today :) not sure whether this is MZ-700 or maybe MZ-80. Also, not sure yet what Dennis has done but I will find out!
Another nice arrival today :) My collection is rapidly expanding at the moment!
Another nice selection of MZ-700 arrivals today :) Some random homemade tapes too, who knows what delights could be on those!
Not in great condition but today’s arrival is another title I haven’t come across before for the MZ-700 :)
Interesting arrival today, not a game whose title I have come across before for the Sharp :)
Another nice arrival today :) I actually have this game in a different format (it’s dual format with 80K and 80A versions) so this is just a variation I didn’t have in my collection yet.
Pretty cool arrival today :) A random Sharpsoft newsletter and also, unexpectedly, the Jeff Minter documentary “Heart of Neon”. A good day today :D
